I'm a UK-based SEN teacher with almost a decade of experience supporting neurodivergent children and young people across a wide range of educational settings.
My teaching journey began unexpectedly during my final year of university, and I’ve been fortunate to find a career I feel genuinely privileged to do. Despite the growing pressures within the education system, my passion for inclusive, values-led practice keeps me grounded.
I’m especially interested in creating simple, sustainable strategies and teaching material that support pupil independence - particularly in mixed-needs and mixed-ability classrooms. I believe inclusion isn’t about fitting pupils into rigid systems, but about having the flexibility within those systems to fit the pupils.
As someone who was late diagnosed with AuDHD, I bring a strong, lived understanding of how education can unintentionally exclude - and how essential it is to move away from compliance-based teaching. The work I do each day is centred on meeting learners where they are with patience, compassion and curiosity.
Currently, I am working a teacher in a PMLD classroom and 1:1 with pupils experiencing neurodivergent burnout, helping them reconnect with learning in safe, affirming ways.
